Tips for living a healthy, vibrant life from one cool cat lady

Some thoughts the day before surgery…

Thank you so much to everyone for the cards, calls, emails, posts, messages, donations and distractions! The incredible support and energy of this community had definitely made my preparation for tomorrow easier, I’m in a good place both mentally and physically, trying to stay calm and trust that everything will be okay, which I know it will.

I have a highly skilled team of doctors who do this type of surgery all the time. It’s hard for those of us who are not in the medical field to comprehend how such a major procedure can be all in a day’s work. I am truly in awe of the medical professionals who we trust with our lives.

Let’s do this!

  • Thinking of you and wishing you all the best. Sending much love from Gene, Tara and our cat Sonam~ We cheer you on!

  • On the off-chance that you are checking this, I am sending you positive thoughts for strength & speedy healing. I am a breast cancer survivor, Stage 2B, invasive ductal carcinoma with one lymph node involved. I opted for a double mastectomy right away and had surgery 6/6/16. There is a large community or strong, courageous women who are walking this walk with you. I hope you are doing well after surgery and whatever other treatment you opted for and are getting lots of kitty luvin! J.
